Arthur Vining Davis Foundations
The Arthur Vining Davis Foundations, based in Jacksonville, Florida, are a national philanthropic organization established through the generosity of the late American industrialist Arthur Vining Davis. The purpose of the Foundations is to provide financial assistance “within the limits of their budget and the discretion of their trustees, to certain educational, cultural, scientific, and religious institutions” within the United States.

E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation
The Carpenter Foundation funds requests from public charities in support of graduate theological education. Grants are made for specific projects or programs and are not made to individuals.

Henry Luce Foundation
The late Henry R. Luce, co-founder and editor-in-chief of Time Inc., established the Henry Luce Foundation in 1936. The foundation’s seemingly diverse interests in education, Asia, and theology stem from the fact that Henry Winters Luce and Elizabeth R. Luce were educational missionaries to China, where they arrived in 1897. Higher education has been a persistent theme for most of the foundation's programs, with an emphasis on innovation and scholarship.

The Kern Family Foundation promotes excellence in education and strong pastoral leadership. Through its Pastoral Ministry Program, the foundation develops exceptional pastors who lead healthy churches.

Lilly Endowment Inc.
Lilly Endowment, Inc., is different from Eli Lilly and Company Foundation. Lilly Endowment was established in 1937 by members of the Lilly family as a vehicle by which to pursue their personal philanthropic interests. Lilly Endowment is completely separate from Eli Lilly and Company and Ely Lilly and Company Foundation, and is independently managed.
