Back in October, we shared the news that Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California, planned to develop senior living housing on campus. Since then, the school has announced plans to withdraw their application for developing the proposed senior community.
David Vasquez-Levy, the president of Pacific School of Religion, stated that the school's "intent is to leverage our real estate property towards a partnership that will strengthen our financial ability to fulfill our mission." Nevertheless, the school believes that "changes in the local political landscape" have made it impossible for the senior housing plan to move forward, and the school is now in discussions with potential buyers of portions of its real estate.
Additional information can be found on the school's website.
