Student debt is still in the news, and in theological education, students who borrowed had about $33,500 in debt, according to ATS data. More notable: Black students had $42,700 on average from seminary, $11,500 more than white students who had debt. The Gift of Black Theological Education & Black Church Collaborative recently met in Washington, D.C., to discuss the issue with powerful student stories. Religion News Service wrote about the gathering. See more here.
