Conflict is a normal part of life in any community, including our seminary and church communities.  How we choose to manage our conflicts, however, either fragments communities or matures them, enabling them to more fully live their mission in the world.  Speaking out of her own experience as an educator and facilitator, Ann Garrido will share a framework for analyzing the ordinary tensions of institutional life and offer three concrete tips to constructively engage the tough conversations that need to be had.

Presenter: Dr. Ann Garrido is Associate Professor of Homiletics at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, MO and a popular speaker on topics of Christian leadership and the art of communication.  She is the author of multiple books including the “Redeeming” series published by Ave Maria Press: Redeeming Administration (2013), Redeeming Conflict (2016), and Redeeming Power (2024).  For more on Ann, see: anngarrido.com.
