The Newsletter for Chairs of Theological School Boards
Vol. 2 No. 2
I know very few people who actually like conflict and crisis because they are messy and difficult. For the leader of a theological school board, it can be tough to keep a focus on the mission while the institution is in a tense situation. However, there are resources to help you with tough situations.
On Wednesday, Nov. 15, Donna Alexander, president and CEO of Advoxum Global Strategies, will address handling conflict and crisis in a webinar for members of the In Trust Center. Donna is an excellent presenter and resource – she is an attorney, has served as chair of a theological school board, and brings years of consulting and other leadership experience. She knows what it's like to thrive in crisis and lead others through it. In her webinar, she'll talk about how to navigate conflict and crisis, as well as provide wise practices for navigating the shoals of change.
It’s at 1 p.m. ET on Nov. 15. You can register at no cost here.
This is a topic near and dear to us at the In Trust Center. We have worked with schools and people in the field for years to help them work through difficult situations and find ways to turn crises into opportunities. On this website, you can find much more, including a piece called Leading out of crisis, which has great questions for leaders to ask; another piece about handling crisis communications; and an interview with an attorney – and longtime theological school board member – on preparing for certain types of crises.
Our Resource Consulting team can help with any questions you may have. Please email us here. We're here to serve.
With gratitude for all you do in theological education,
Amy Kardash
President
