Good Governance
The In Trust Center has launched a new podcast focused on critical governance issues in theological higher education.
Funded by a generous grant from the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust, which also helps fund the In Trust Center’s Wise Stewards Initiative, Good Governance focuses on helping schools maximize board potential and new perspectives on issues.
“The In Trust Center provides thought leadership through a variety of media, and the Good Governance podcast offers powerful conversations about current challenges and promising solutions,” said In Trust Center President Amy Kardash.
The podcast debuts with Dr. Rebekah Basinger, the Wise Stewards project director, and Dr. David Rowe, a governance consultant and Wise Stewards faculty coach, discussing the “new normal” for theological schools since the pandemic and how schools can cultivate community and use technology.
Other episodes discuss board assessment and orientation, the relationship between the board chair and the president, and board recruitment and diversity. Participants include additional coaches of the Wise Stewards initiative.
The podcast is available on Spotify, Google Podcasts, or Apple Podcasts, and on the In Trust Center’s website.

For Christians leading in the marketplace
Host Darren Shearer noticed a lack of teaching about “business theology” in seminaries and decided to fill the gap. This podcast is part of that work, with recent episodes like “Can God use a Beer Brewing Company?” and “Is There a Biblical Basis for Bitcoin?”
