Experimenting with technology can mean extending work, not necessarily replacing people.

The Rev. Tay Moss is an Anglican priest who works and consults in the Church, ministry, education, and technology, and he recently has been doing strategic work with artificial intelligence. On Episode 78 of the “Good Governance” podcast he addressed a concern people have about artificial intelligence:

“I think that we can see this as just opening up another door into another room in the mansion of God. ... Maybe some people will argue with me about the theology of that, but I think that we can see this as another space, and I think that removes from it the idea that this is somehow replacing the normal interactions between an instructor and a student, that it’s going to replace the role of a registrar or other people. In fact, I think it will extend those people’s capabilities to reach more, to have more effective learning engagements and to have happier students who learn more.”
