Three’s a charm

From podcasts to philanthropy, Pathways to Between the Times, and governance to technology, In Trust covers the range of issues in theological education. The magazine, which was awarded for its 2023 work, highlights the Center’s rich resources.

In Trust magazine, for the third straight year, earned plaudits in the 2023 Associated Church Press (ACP) Best of the Church Press Awards for specialty and denominational publications. The magazine also captured three awards from the prestigious Society of Publication Designers.

ACP bestowed an award of merit for Best-in-Class, recognizing overall quality; it marks an unprecedented third straight year of recognition for the magazine in the category.

“Everyone is grateful for the awards, but what really matters is the acknowledgment of how we serve our members,” said Matt Hufman, vice president for communication and publisher of In Trust. “Awards are a measure of our commitment to provide outstanding resources to our members – and recognition of their quality.”

The Winter 2023 issue, designed by Creative Director Carla Frank, received an Award of Merit for Design, Entire Issue; Hufman was honored for devotional writing in the same issue.

In another annual contest, the Society of Publication Designers (which accepts submissions from leading commercial publications) bestowed three Awards of Merit for the covers of both Spring and Summer 2023 and a feature spread in Spring 2023 for “The 10 Commandments of Fundraising,” offering time-tested advice for philanthropy in Christian organizations.
