The Gift Colalborative addresses Black student debt

Student debt is still in the news, and in theological education, students who borrowed had about $33,500 in debt. Black students had $42,700 on average from seminary, $11,500 more than white students who had debt. The Gift of Black Theological Education and Black Church Collaborative recently met in Washington, D.C., to discuss the issue with powerful student stories. See more here.

How to think about fundraising

Remark(able) is a feature in In Trust magazine to help provide thoughts and ideas for boards and senior leaders to reflect on:
“Fund-raising is, first and foremost, a form of ministry. It is a way of announcing our vision and inviting other people into our mission. Vision and mission are so central to the life of God’s people that without vision we perish and without mission we lose our way.” – From a Spirituality of Fundraising by Henri J.M. Nouwen

Reflection: How does your board approach its role in fundraising?
